My last meet of the day was with Mike, the one that falls apart. We met on the Williamsburg Bridge which is full of positive vibes and street art. After a few sips of fruit punch, the inner rapper within me was released, so our time was me reciting Biggie or Tupac and stopping it all to pose in front of the magical lens. I always like to hear how photographers started and what they aspire to capture, Mike's story in particular was so simple, I felt free to just do what I wanted. "You are your most beautiful when you are being natural." Mike wants all his muses to be themselves and show their personality, without all the make-up or the clothes which end up distracting us from the muse. Go and visit the chill and cool photographer he is.

In the morning, I was meeting with Hanif also known as Neefluid. Of all the photographers I have worked with he is by far the one I felt most challenged by. I have always used my hair, prints and big smile to do all the talking, this time I didn't have those things and had to take a step out of my comfort zone. I packed so many printed clothing but for some reason, I didn't want to wear anything printed on that day. I wanted to be simple and not be defined by my style. I was taught that it isn't our appearance that makes us who we are, yet we are taught from young to believe that simply because we that is what we see. After hearing that, I really did not want to be defined by my appearance, nor did I want to be defined by an adjective. I wanted to be me. Hanif instructed me to pose with innocence, the first thing that came to mind was to smile and have fun. But he wanted me to use my body and my eyes to speak to the camera without saying a word. It was challenging at first, I couldn't help but overthink how I looked. It didn't feel natural because I was worrying about my appearance. That's when I realised that the more we worry about these things, the less natural we become trying to confide into what we think is beautiful or normal. On this shoot, I left Hanif with a sense of freedom, that I no longer needed the bright clothing or the statement prints to stand out. How I see myself and how I feel about myself will always be reflected in anything I do. Shine your light and let it glow. Be free like fluid. Be inspired by Hanif and his beautiful vision, space and fluid.
...Tell him I sent you! @neefluid fluiddecorum.vsco.co/journal Straight from my last exam to New York City, this year I haven't let anything stop me from bringing all my dreams to light. This time round in the city, I was feeling a sense of peace compared to last time. On my first day out, I had to meet with Daniel Racz. He is one of my inspirations and after months of discussing it, he is now about to pursue all he has dreamt of with his lens. Last year we spoke about Happy Froday in a park and after planning, we were able to put together the 2O15 event in Bia, Brooklyn. If you aren't familiar with the masterpiece, One Foggy Day which Daniel created; somehow the scenery in New York resembled the book on that day. We walked around, grabbed pizza until the sky began to captivate us all. Some were walking closer to the sky taking pictures, whilst we were walking closer to just vibe with the beauty of it all. Earlier on that day Daniel had captioned a picture "In case you didn't look up today." Those words stuck with me, simply because we are now in a generation that always has our heads down staring at pixels that we forget to live and enjoy the moment. I love social media, I love it most because of all the people I have met. But that does not mean that we should stop living the real world to connect with the online one.
